Greene County High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) department is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the local food pantry. “In this season of giving, we want to show our community how thankful we are for so many opportunities we have by giving back to others,” said Teresa Green, business education instructor.
Doug Rieder from Raccoon Valley Radio will be at school on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 9 to 11 am to do live remotes with the CTE students. The goal is to “Fill Big Red” with non-perishables and paper goods for the local ARC. All donations will stay in Greene County.
Students from Greene County High School are asked to bring items to their advisory teachers before Dec. 16 when they will fill the radio station van. If every student brought two or three items, the students would be able to donate over 1,000 items to the food pantry.
Donations from the public can also be dropped off at the high school office, located on the north side of the high school.
